MCDONALD'S MOBILE APP LAUNCH CAMPAIGN
BUILDING AWARENESS WITH REAL WORLD SOCIAL SHARING
When McDonald's wanted us to help create awareness of the relaunch of their mobile app, we took it as an opportunity to remind their audience what the brand stands for, connecting people. Our idea was to give everyone who downloaded the app a free sandwich, with one caveat, they also had to give one to a friend by using the app. In doing this we gave McDonald's customers more than a mobile app, we gave them a way to share a meal with friends, family, or long-lost loved ones. We called it Friendsizin'.
